The Quincy University Hawks opened the 2010 season in an unenviable position, facing #5 FCS ranked SIU Carbondale on the road as the Salukis christened their brand new stadium. Matea looked like a team that drew kids from a pretty good sized population, judging by their size, numbers, and athletic ability. Offensively they weren't quite polished enough to sustain very long... 
I talked to a TV cameraman who shot that game, and he said that Matea was EXTREMELY good for a first year startup, organized, big and with a lot of athletes.
QHS only beats a start up team by 10? Either Matea was decent or the Devils aren't anywhere near touching the team they fielded last season. I, just an opinion, am pretty unimpressed with QHS so far....
