Payson Seymour Indians (6-2) over Knox County boys (1-2) by a 62-40 final score. Payson out quicked Eagles. Very aggressive defense. Indians took advantage of developing KCHS ball handlers. 30-22 game (Payson) at halftime. Indians opened game up with 20-8 third quarter. Bryce Terwelp game high 20 Indians points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists. Alex Wiseman 14 Payson points. Keenan Gillaspy and Lance McMahon 9 KCHS points each. McMahon scored the first six Knox County points. Indians won the JV boys game 49-38.

Liberty-Payson Seymour (8-3) won a 31-30 squeaker over Knox County girls (2-1). First defeat of season for Lady Eagles. Both teams played well defensively. Points at a premium. Both teams were able to keep the other out of an offensive flow. Very even game on the stat sheets. Liberty hit four threes and seven free throws. Liberty Eagles 7-14 from charity stripe, Knox County 2-4 from the line. No more than six point game all the way. Lexi Neisen and Stacey Leckbee traded three pointers in the final 3:10.

Liberty missed two front halves of one and ones in the last 45 seconds. KC turned the ball over with 20 seconds to play. Home team had the ball with 7.5 seconds to play and didn't get off a shot. Lexi Neisen game high 11 Liberty points. Elizabeth Cramsey 10 pts. Dakota Flesner 7 points. Lorrie Peters led KC with eight points and 13 rebounds. Stacey Leckbee next in line with seven.
