Cody Tate fired in a game high 33 points, leading the Blue team to a 109-102 victory in the June 5, 2010 Northeast Missouri Officials Association All Star Basketball boy's game. Tate played at Macon HS last season after transferring from Kirksville. Cody Tate returned to Tiger Gym at Kirksville in a big way. Tate, Tristan Lonberger, Christian Cunningham and Josh Bailey were some of the most productive players on the court. Lindsey McDowell had a solid game for his Red team.

The Blue team led by as many as 14 points in the second quarter before the Red rallied in the closing minutes. Highland HS product Lindsey McDowell canned a home run ball with 30 ticks on the first half clock.

Macon County Raider graduate Wade Burstert scored with two seconds to play in the second period for a 48-47 Blue team half time lead. The Red team led by as many as three points during a back and forth third quarter. The Blue team burst to a 77-68 lead at the three quarter pole.

Both teams ran the court, with plenty of turnovers to go around. Cody Tate took a Tristan Lonberger (Knox County HS) feed for an 85-70 Blue lead with 8:30 to play in the game. Matt Thomas (Brashear HS) scored with 3:27 remaining for a 100-86 Blue margin. Turnovers fueled a ten point Red run to a 100-96 Blue margin with two minutes to play. Trevor Allison (Kirksville HS) tossed in a three ball, making things interesting.

Cody Tate and Tristan Lonberger scored big points, pushing the Blue team lead back to 105-99 with a minute showing on the clock. Bevier HS product Jesse Shelmadine canned a three pointer, closing the Blue lead to as many points. Cody Tate sank two clutch free throws with 45 ticks on the clock for a 107-102 score.

Tristan Lonberger scored the game's final points with 30 seconds remaining. Macon HS graduate Josh Bailey recovered from off season wrist surgery for a 17 point effort. Bailey plans to play basketball at Central Methodist University at Fayette. Brandon Garnett (Scotland County HS) was in double figures for the winning Blue team with 11 points. Tristan Lonberger finished with eight points.

Schuyler County product Christian Cunningham led five Red scorers in double figures with 20 points. Cunningham has signed a football letter with Central Missouri State University. David Hagan (Kirksville HS) tossed in 17 points. Highland HS teammates Cole Hetzler and Lindsey McDowell put in 15 points each. Trevor Allison (Kirksville HS) tallied 14 points.
