Rumor in Pittsfield is that John was signed as a free agent by the New England Patriots.

John played 1 year at WIU then transfered to the U of Illinois to wrestle.

He wasn't actually signed, he was invited to their minicamp to try out. It's still a heck of an accomplishment and even if the Patriots don't sign him, it could get him some attention from other teams.
