In 2A, looks like they shipped QND north to the Macomb regional with Macomb, West Hancock, Illini West, and Rushville.
Pittsfield gets assigned to the Pleasant Plains regional with Pleasant Plains.
Both regionals are in the PORTA sectional complex with Bloomington CC looming.

Not really surprised by any of the 2A local regionals. QND is pretty used to playing Macomb in regionals past. IW and WH could cause some excitement yet i havent seen either of those 2 play yet. Rushville.. no clue about them.. haven't heard much about them yet this year though..
And i think QND could compete if not beat BCC this year. But we'll see..

Waterloo (H.S.) Regional (5)
Belleville (Althoff)
Breese (Mater Dei)
Cahokia (H.S.)
Mascoutah
Waterloo (H.S.)
This might be the regional to be at in 3A.. i'm willing to say that this will produce a team in the final 4 come March.

So will winner of the PORTA sectional have to face winner from Effingham St. Anthony sectional? If so Breese Central will probably be waiting. They're tough this year. Senior stacked as well.
Anyone know much about Riverton this season??? They have an awesome gym there. Not that it matters.. but i know they've been somewhat tough in recent past..

Typically in years past, QND and Macomb would meet in a sectional, not in a regional. This regional is flat out stacked and QND is stll the heavy favorite but we all know anything can happen come postseason.

Back in the two class days when all of these teams were in the same class, I believe you would see a sectional with QND, Macomb, West Hancock (Warsaw or Nauvoo), and maybe a team a little further east.

Epic battles b/t QND and Macomb in recent past.. Miss those..
But yes i agree i think QND takes the regional with ease and maybe even sectionals as well.. but who knows.. kids know how to play the upset card thick come february/march

Riverton is not that good this year. I see where they were seeded 7th out of 8 teams in their county tournament.
