Time to nominate the coaches of the year for Missouri Boys Basketball.

I will start the list with some of my favorite names from this year...

Kyle Windy, Schuyler
Jamie Tipton, Putnam
Dave Fouch, LaPlata
Doug Hawkins, Macon
Greg Gatson, Mark Twain
Derrick Branstetter, Louisiana

Please add any names you feel need to be on the ballot.

Not sure if we are voting or just nominating anyway, I would say Fouch or Branstetter would be my front runners for the award. Fouch gets it done year in and year out, that says something for his coaching ability. Branstetter, well his year speaks for itself, he took a team that was middle pack all year long and got them playing good when it counts. That to me is a guy doing the right things. The only other one I would feel comfortable giving it to is Windy, he does a great job every year, and his kids play great defense.

Her is the way I look at it, a good coach should not be determined by one year alone, anybody can win if they have the players like Macon has.

COACHING IS LESS ABOUT X'S AND O'S AND MORE ABOUT THE JIMMY'S AND JOE'S!!!!


Take it for what it is worth, probably not much.

"Jimmies and Joe's" sounds like an overpriced Hawaiian beach bar and grill name

I vote for Fouch. His team is undersized and fairly young. I think he gets the most out of his players abilities year in and year out.

I agree on Fouch he gets it done every year and no I don't think Macon got all they could out of the boys.
