This sectional has Lewistown vs Brimfield and Orion vs CP.
2 of the top 5 teams for most of the year headline this sectional. In game one you have Brimfield as the favorite over Lewistown. do not sleep on Lewistown as they were heavy underdogs last year going up against Orion in the semis. My pick will be Ltown knocking out Brimfield in a close game. 47-44. I do not know much about Brimfield but it is hard to go against Ltown in the playoffs.
Second round we have CP vs Orion. We all know about CP but Orion sounds like they may be the real deal. two kids over 6'5 one is only a sophmore that is all-state right now. The guards are pretty good but nothing spectacular. From what I have read on Orion is that they play alot of 1-2-2 and do not hesitate shoot the first shot they get. Could be a team of styles. CP can be overally patient at times with Orion like to shoot quick and use their D to generate offense.
Comparisons.
Guards seem to be evenly matched.
I think rhea will be even with the center. The differnce will come down to their 6'5 Sophmore and Main. Not saying they aer going to go head to head but Main has to be a big time player in this game.
Depth could be a problem with Orion as they only play 7 kids. If they get in some foul trouble they could be hurting although they do bring another 6'5 kid off the bench. CPs bench will have to play as well as they did in the Regional. I look for walters to have a big game against Orion off the bench.
My prediction is CP 51 Orion 50. Ok, that is because I am rooting for CP
