Hey, he just plugged us :)

He's talking about PHS vs Notre Dame. (I picked Pittsfield by 8)

They are now talking to a Irl Robinson from Clinton, MO (a Pittsfield native) who is a golf clubmaker... I am going to check him out, I am in Clinton several times a year. Nowhere near where I am but we ride our bikes on the KATY trail which ends in Clinton. Click Here For The Guy's Website (http://www.yourcustomclubs.com) (his name is pronounced Earl)

I listened to part of the show last night driving and they brought up the Winchester Tourny. The discussion was about people thinking the tourny was down this year.
My thinking is that the Tourny had more depth than ever before with all 8 teams in the winners bracket could of won it. But I think the tourny did not have the top tier teams like in years past. Where you had Liberty, Barry, Triopia, WC, Carrolton and many others that were getting votes in state or looked like sure fire Regional challengers. This year we could very well see a team or two win a regional, but I dont think any will be clear cut favorites to win their regional. Next year I think the tourny could have 5 or so teams that look like State caliber teams.

Couldn't agree more junkie. I think Camp Point, West Central, Payson, Liberty, and North Greene could all be extremely tough next year. Its really a shame that Camp Point is still stuck in the tourney at Beardstown, especially since I hear that it only has 7 teams in it this year (try to figure out tie breakers for that one). I would have liked to have seen them this year in the tourney. It would have allowed Beardstown to have a round robin format, and would have made CPC the 16th varsity team at Winchest. Oh well, I guess that's just how it goes sometimes. Next year's WIT should be a good one though.

I agree that it was not a down year at the WIT. You didn't have the 1 or 2 teams that you knew were going to be playing in the Championship. I believed that the top 9 or 10 teams could have had a chance to win it. The consolation champs Waverly is a team that has a lot of talent and they were the 10 or 11 seed I believe. Can't wait for next year with the addition of CPC and all the strong area teams.

Beardstown just added an 8th team and schedule is due out any minute now. The guy has never mislead me but claims its QND?????? But for sure Camp Point is the team and not much competition as it stands now..

QND JV team, maybe they will send their second five from the varsity team. Probably not, but their JV only beat our JV at Pittsfield by a couple. I hate JV teams playing in varsity tourneys. It is a no win for the team who plays them and even worse if you would lose. And that can happen. West Central lead an OK Calhoun team at half time before they wore out of energy.

You are correct!! QND JV. Only Freshman and Soph he said. Some rule about you can only play in so many tournaments and the varsity has already played in them so no Varsity player can drop down. So must be two is the limit. I know Pittsfield has a soph staring varsity, I assume he didn't play in that game. Give an update on both JV teams for sake of converstaion? I agree that most JV's playing in varsity games is a no win situation. Few years back QHS did that and was very competive but just left a bad feeling on both sides about the whole situation. But playing time is hard to get sometimes so take what you can get.

Un official but I think this is correct Monday Jan 25th Porta vs Triopia Game #2 QND vs Havana, Game #3 Midwest Central vs Beardstown. The two teams that don't play Monday are South Fulton and Camp Point

West Hancock fans? They are looking for somebody to call in if you were at the Payson game last night.

I am curious too, those Payson kids are ... umm.... interesting in how WILDLY inconsistent they are.
