The Tigers and Wildcats split a varsity double-header.
In the first game, the host Tigers exploded for 12 first inning runs in a 22-1 five inning romp over Novinger. Adam Songer, Cody Snelling, and Hayden Housman all homered for Brashear and Jay Scudder collected 2 hits. Martin, Klingsmith, and Daniels had hits for Novinger. Cody Snelling got the win for Brashear striking out 9.
In the second game, Novinger was the ‘home’ team. The Wildcats took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, but Brashear evened the score in the top of the 2nd on a Jay Scudder solo homer. Novinger quickly retook the lead with another 4 runs in the bottom of the 2nd. Brashear tied the game again at 6-6 in the top of the 5th inning, but Novinger scored 8 runs, 6 of which came after 2 outs, in the bottom of the 5th to win by a final scored of 18-8. For Brashear, Nick Thomas, Hayden Housman, and Jay Scudder all homered. Chris Smith got the win for Novinger, striking out 10.
