New Venue For State Championship Games?

Check out this article I found on the Springfield Journal Register website. It looks like beginning in 2013, due to the expansion in the Big Ten conference, the IHSA football championships are going to have to be moved somewhere besides Champaign.

Personally I don't know why they need that bigof a venue for them anyways. I think ISU could probably have them, or EIU even.. I just keep thinking they're going to make you go to Chicago to see these games and that's a bummer..

Isu would be a nice place for the game been there a few times for games and is a nice venue.

Go back to ISU, it's right in the middle of the state. If Peoria or Springfield had a stadium, then you could pick one of those places to.

My thoughts exactly. I never understood the move to Champaign anyway. However I've enjoyed my trips there over the years!

The move had something to do with ISU making the playoffs and couldn't host a game that weekend.

I say move it back to ISU. I remember playing there in my High School State game back in the 80's. I just hope they don't have the same hard a$$ artificial turf. lol (Rockridge vs Kankakee) We lost. RR
