Palmyra and Clarck County Job openings

Both openings are available, does anyone have a reason why?

I have heard that Coach O'Laughlin at Palmyra, the obvious candidate there, has resigned as assistant coach as well, in a move completely unrelated to the head coach leaving, so that he can concentrate on being the Girls BB coach and spring sports coach... this means that the coach at Palmyra may well come from outside the system, and since that job just opened up this week it will take a bit of time to fill.

Rumor (just rumor) I hear from Palmyra is that Coach O is a candidate for the head coaching job as well as possibly 1 or 2 other Palmyra assistant coaches who have some degree of interest in the head job.

Word on the streets in Shelbina today is that Kent O'Laughlin has been hired as the head football coach at Palmyra. Apparently he will also retain the head girls basketball coaching job as well.

No coach has been named at Palmyra. There are 4 in house candidates as well as at least 1 outside for consideration. It could be another week or 2 before a decision is made and candidates may interview before the board, but that is just speculation at this point.
