Date Change for Pittsfield vs QND boys at Pittsfield

The game will not be played on this Saturday (1-9-2010) as scheduled. As I understand QND had also scheduled a game at a shootout in Highland that day. So the game will be played instead on Wednesday (1-13-2010) at the same time as scheduled which means a 6:30 JV game start.

Same here weekday games are much tougher to get to. Posted this on another thread but how does a team schedule 2 games , same day and not change it until this late in the season???? Something doesn't sound right.

I'm not sure what happened here, but both the QND website and the paper schedule that gets mailed out had the Pittsfield game listed as a January 22nd game. I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication or if QND got invited ot the highland shootout late or what, but from the beginning of the season at least on QND's schedules Pittsfield was never listed on January 9th.

Yeah I had seen at least one other error on QND's online schedule, but I also checked the paper copy I have that I believe came straight from the AD's office and it listed Pittsfield on January 22nd too. I'm not sure what happened there.

Pittsfield's school site still has the January 9 date, whoever runs that needs to update it to the correct info.

If you're going to wait for the PHS website to update, you will be waiting for awhile. It never gets updated when it comes to sports stuff.

I'm not sure what happened either, but it is on Pittsfield's school calender (which is mailed out in August) & all schedules that I have seen as Jan 9.

From what I could gather, the contract was signed for January 9th. After that game was scheduled, QND was asked to play in the Highland Shootout vs Troy Triad in a rematch of last years 3A regional title game. Obviously they wanted to play that game so the AD's office was supposed to contact pittsfield and see if the date could be switched to the 22nd (the date listed on QND's schedules). This is where the miscommunication happened because the Pittsfield date never got changed, but the Shootout Game was scheduled anyway.

Kind of a costly mistake, would imagine good crowd but nothing like a marque on a Saturday. How many would have screamed if QND had to forfeit because of mistake, Coach Tomhave wants his team to play this unbelievably tough team with a second five better than the area teams starters. Hope the Saukees can keep it under 30 points in the loss. You ever been to Voshall? Sorry PhotoGuy and many others won't et to come because of poor follow up.

Lol. I've been to Voshall. I consider it the toughest place in the area to go and win. I also know from experience not to go to the concession area in QND gear without a large group of people. Coach Tomhave and his boys will be more than ready just as they always are. Ill still expect nothing less than a full house and if anything I'd imagine less QND fans will be able to make the trip. Should be a great game. Maybe, if we are lucky, a preview of a sectional game?
