I have a ton of respect for both coaching staffs and both programs. I knew the game earlier this year would be closer than the score showed, and I think it will be a similar game this go around.

It was closer than the score showed? Didn't IW hold CSE to around 100 yards of total offense? That doesn't seem very close to me. I think IW wins by alot in this one. I really think they have gotten better and are hitting their peak. I don't see them hitting a road block until they get to Mt Carmel.

The game was closer than the score indicates. It was not your typical blowout. I don't know what the total yards of offense were, but the last time I checked, as has been discussed to death in other threads, total offense yards does not in itself win ball games.
In the first meeting of these two schools, IW led 6-0 at halftime. This TD was scored on 4th and goal from the 12 yard line.
In the third quarter, CSE missed getting a first down by literally a couple inches at mid field. The first play for IW, they score on like a 49 yard TD pass. Then CSE fumbles away the kickoff, and IW scores on like a 3rd and 17 from the 21 or something close to that. Granted CSE's TD came in garbage time. But I could easily see the first game being like 14-0 or a two score game. I am not taking anything away from IW, they made those big plays when they needed to, and that is why they are the standard for area high school football. They were the winner and best team on that given night.
But I do believe that this rematch will be closer than most people expect, looking for a good game that is decided in the 4th quarter. IF CSE defense can avoid giving up the big play, they do have a slight chance of pulling the upset.

I couldn't agree more. This game has all the makings of being a very close game. I think that IW will win, but it could very well be a 14-7, 21-7 game. It could turn into a blow out, and that wouldn't totally surprise me, but I think that it will be a close game, much like the first half of their first game.

The first game was a lot closer than the scored showed. I think it will be just like the last game, but I also could see it getting ugly and IW rolling on to the quarters. Should be a very good game.

First of all, hardly anyone can stop IW's offense, so CSE most likely will not be able to. IW has proven all year that they will not give in to the pass, as their secondary is very quick and athletic. CSE does have Kestner, but if CSE gets behind they will most likely have to resort to the pass which will cause problems. This is why I don't think it will be that close. Granted, CSE is a good team and does have the capability of making it a good game, but most likely only for a half.

I hope that you are right, I just have a suspicion that this one will be closer than the last one's final score.

I think it'll be worse for CSE than the first one, no program gets focused for the playoffs like IW/Carthage. If they already beat you handily once, it'll happen again.

CSE can't stop IW offense. IW has over 200 yards of total offense in the first half.
