Photo Thread:Pittsfield vs Highland Girls - December 18, 2009

Here are a few of my shots. Pittsfield won the game 38-31 as a part of JWCC's Rumble On The River. As a part of my upcoming article, I shot these with a $350 camera and a $200 lens, to show you don't need fancy expensive equipment to shoot high school basketball. More on this later.

Three more color shots. I had never actually shot a basketball game with this setup... never actually shot sports with the Nikon D40 at all, so it was a bit of a learning curve. Since it doesn't have a fast frame rate, timing becomes everything...

great shots.. i especially enjoy the black and white with JW's gym in the backround.. gives the photo some a good feel..
keep it up.. this is definately one thing lacking from KHQA's boards (photos).
